Chapter 107: False Alarm

"What should we do now?" Jasper was very worried. Just why the heck did something like this happen?

He only went home to tell his mother that he would join the incoming competition next six months and he would be away for training before then. Just how in the world did the situation become like this?!

He thought that he could finally have a day off since all he had done in the academy was training and mission. Never in his wildest imagination that once he went home, there was a huge problem waiting for him. Was the world finally became mad at him? Just what he had done to deserve this? All he wanted was a day off!

"I can beat up your little sister if you want. That way, she will definitely calm down." Bryan suggested. He was serious and he really meant those words.

"Are you kidding me?" Jasper was speechless. That joke was not funny at all. Hurting his little sister? You must be joking! But Jasper knew that this griffin was not joking at all. He was helpless as he could only mutter, "There must be another way..."

"There is..." Bryan responded, making Jasper see a ray of hope. After a moment of pause, Bryan then continued, "Find your mother."

Jasper widened his eyes for a moment as realization dawned upon him. Indeed, his mother could calm Jade down! But where in the world was his mother had gone into? Where should he start looking for her? His little sister might already be in a critical state before he could even find his mother.

"You go." In the end, Jasper ordered Bryan.

"Go where?!" Bryan was angered. How could this brat order him around?!

"To where is it other than to find mother?!" Jasper was angered as well. How could this mere tamed beast be so disobedient?!

"You!" Bryan gritted his teeth. If this brat was other people, he would probably have smacked the other party to death already. He was a griffin, a noble beast! Just what was wrong with this brat to not see his worth?! "You go! I will guard this kid here!"

"What?! You are faster! So you go!"

"Brat, can't you see that you can't even handle the shockwaves emitted by this kid?!"

"Who said that I can't?!"

So then, many blabbers came out from their mouth not realizing that there was someone who had just arrived. So as that certain someone couldn't stand their blabbers any longer,

"Shut up you two and tell me what happened here!" The duo was still grinding their teeth and was arguing against each other when they heard a cold voice of a woman near them. They both shifted their gaze to where the voice came from and there they saw two figures. And they recognized one of them!

"Mother!" Jasper was happy.

"Old woman, you're finally here!" Bryan was happy as well.

Charley's expression suddenly turned awful as he exuded out a cold aura, "Who are you calling old woman?!"

"Just a joke, just a joke." Bryan forced his smile, as he immediately changed the subject, "But it's not important now, looked at your daughter, she has gone insane!"

"Insane?" Charley wasn't happy with the wordings used by this beast but nevertheless, she knew as well that the situation was getting worse so she couldn't care about it anymore.

She then shifted her gaze to her daughter as she heard her muttering something, "Everyone left me... They don't love me anymore..."

Charley noticed that the seal was already broken as she then came closer to Jade and tapped the other party's forehead. Right after that, a sphere of light enveloped the body of Jade. The shockwaves emitted by Jade had calmed down as Jade fell unconscious. Charley then caught the body of Jade and carried her like a princess.

"What happened here? Where is father?" Soon after that, Charley turned her gaze to Jasper and Bryan as she asked both of them. After a short moment, she just noticed something so she added, "And where is Jim?"

"This..." Jasper didn't know what to say. He really didn't know where did they had gone into.

"They're fighting in the Illusion World," Bryan replied indignantly. He really was angered at Laude leaving him such a problem just to satisfy his curiosity about Jim.

"What?!" Charley was shocked but at the same time, restless. The indignant reaction of Bryan made her think that the other party was angry at Laude for not bringing him as well to fight those Assassins, and was tasked to guard Jade instead.

No wonder this beast was so angry! Charley realized that that was surely the case!

But what made her shocked was that she thought that her father would bring the enemy somewhere afar, but who would have thought that his father would bring them to the Illusion World. When did her father become so capable of doing so?

And what made her restless was that her father had even brought Jim with him. That was really too careless of him! If those Assassins managed to injure Jim or even worse, kill Jim, just who in the world would take the blame?!

Charley walked back and forth as she kept fidgeting. Jasper and Bryan noticed her but didn't comment on her reactions. They just thought that it was a concern of a mother to her child.

"So mom can also be this anxious when Lolo is beating us up?" Jasper thought as he nodded in realization. He really was touched upon knowing that their tyrannical mother could be this caring.

At first, Jasper was shocked upon learning that his grandfather and his big brother had gone into the Illusion World. No wonder his uncle Chad became motionless after revealing his Pulang Mata, it seemed like the other party was watching the fight of grandfather and grandson.

But now that he saw his mother's reaction, his shock had leveled up. He had learned that although their mother could always be terrifying, she had a soft heart that she was always hiding. That time, Jasper made up his mind that he would definitely obey his parents no matter what.

Never he thought that his mother didn't really care if their grandfather beat them up. After all, it was to train their physical body. If Jasper learned about this, just how in the world would he react?!

"Calm down Charley." Seeing that her friend was becoming more and more anxious, Elissa could only speak from the side. She then informed the other party, "There are no traces of Cosa Family here. They might be fighting someone else."

After arrival, Elissa immediately checked out her surroundings to see who among their Cosa Family had followed her so that she could plan for countermeasures. But after some time, she couldn't see any traces of anyone among her family. In fact, she couldn't even find any traces of other people around.

As an expert Assassin, she could immediately know if there was an Assassin around. But she just couldn't find any, just how strong was that Assassin for her to be incapable of finding its traces? Elissa became so much serious this time.

On the other hand, hearing her friend, Charley took a deep breath to calm herself down. She wasn't like this in the first place. She could always manage her cool even in the direst situation. Why was she becoming like this now?! Did the fated time that would happen soon, affected her so much to the point that she could barely retain her state of mind now?

After taking a deep breath, she made sure that her state of mind was fine. After all, she was intending to go to the Illusion World to see who was so daring enough to target them especially her beloved daughter.

"Hey, hey! What do you mean Cosa Family? Is there an Assassin coming here?"

However, Charley was just about to use her Pulang Mata to go to the Illusion World when she heard the griffin speaking in all excitement. Charley couldn't help but stare at him in bewilderment as she asked? "What do you mean by that? Aren't you people being assassinated that's why Jade is like this?"

"Huh? Did you finally go insane? How could there be an Assassin with me here?" Bryan looked at Charley as if he was looking into a fool. This old woman had finally lost her mind!

Charley found her nerves popping out from her head as she suddenly felt an urge to smack the other party to death. Nonetheless, she still managed to barely contain her state of mind as she asked instead, "Then what happened here? Who is father fighting?"

"Who else could it be other than your son?!" Bryan responded as he added, "After the old man and your brat have left to Illusion World, your daughter here has gone insane because she felt that she's being left by you all. What a bunch of idiots are you all, can't you retain in your mind that the seal will be broken whenever your daughter's emotion is going out of control?"

"I..." Charley didn't know what to say. She was angry at the other party berating her but she had nothing to refute his words. But she was not to be blamed here. She left because she thought that her father would take care of Jade. But would have thought that the other party would leave as well?!

Nonetheless, she was still shocked upon learning that instead of Assassins, it appeared that her father and her son were the ones fighting each other. Just how in the world did she ended up concluding that there was an Assassin?

Charley couldn't help but shift her gaze to Elissa as she found the other party smiling bitterly. They both worried over nothing! They just couldn't believe that a high-level character like them had fallen to such a false alarm.
