Chapter 103: Anticipation

Meanwhile...

In the real world just after Jim had made a move against his grandfather.

"What happened?"

"T-they... Disappeared?"

Both Jasper and Chad couldn't make sense of what had just happened. In just a blink of an eye, Laude, Jim, and all the tamed beasts of Jim had all disappeared without leaving any traces. Just what the heck was going on now?

Even the griffin was dumbstruck as well. It was an SS-rank beast, how did that bunch manage to escape its watch, especially the gorilla it was guarding? No matter how hard it tried, and put its senses to the limits, it just couldn't find the other party. As if they didn't exist in the first place.

"Maybe Lolo has teleported the both of them to somewhere afar?" Jasper made a wild guess. But even he himself wasn't sure if it was the case. Because he didn't feel any space distortion so how could it be?

He already knew that other than the passive ability to gain strength from the sun, his grandfather was also a great user of the space element. But Jasper knew as well that the greater the space element one could control, the greater the distortion of space would it be once used. So how could their grandfather suddenly disappear without causing any distortion of space? Were his eyes playing tricks on him?

As Jasper was getting even more bewildered, Chad was now narrowing his eyes and was sweeping his gaze to his surroundings. Until finally, he realized that something was amiss.

He then closed his eyes, and after a few moments, he then opened it again and his Pulang Mata was revealed. And sure enough, his guess wasn't wrong! They were really in the world of illusion!

He really was shocked beyond words. Because he could tell that this was the doings of his nephew Jim.

One must know that even he himself couldn't do such a feat. Bringing one's physical body to the illusion world was only something like in his elder sister Charley's level could ever do.

And unlike his elder sister, Chad could only bring one's consciousness to the illusion world, or he could only affect one's consciousness by his illusion. In case of bringing a physical body to the illusion world, Chad could only dream about it.

But now, his nephew had even surpassed him on that way as the other party was able to so such a feat now? Did he really need to grow so fast? Just why did the world allow something like this to happen? The world must be mad!

Chad already knew that his nephew had the eye of his elder sister, but to do such a feat still needed a great amount of Mental Energy that even everything he had was still not enough. And he knew full well that his nephew had no Mental Energy at all to use. So how could the other party do such a feat?! Was it just because his elder sister had used a converter to enable Jim to use his World Energy instead of Mental Energy to cast illusions? But even if it was the case, his World Energy needed to be so pure! Just how pure was his nephew's World Energy really was?

Chad, of course, didn't know exactly about Jim's condition. And only a select few knew about it. Even so, those who knew about it had different knowledge compared to each other depending on how much Charley wanted to tell to each individual. And Chad was oblivious about Jim's body constitutions called Dominator's Vessel, a constitution that could purify World Energy ten times, enabling Jim to use skills and abilities with ten times less World Energy but ten times the effect.

In any case, Jim's World Energy was very pure. And since the purer his World Energy the greater the illusion he could cast, Jim was able to cast such illusions of which Chad was incapable of doing.

Chad just couldn't make sense about it.

But his astonishment didn't just stay like that because what he was seeing right now could only make him feel a chilling sensation.

It was a bloody field! It might be the same in the real world but it was all replaced by something horrible.

The land became blood, the sky turned red, the trees became leafless as if dead trees, green grasses became red, and the sun became a red eye with five red dots in the middle of it. Chad could tell that it was the Pulang Mata of Jim! Or to be more precise, Charley's.

Chad felt somewhat suppressed by that eye. As he gazed at it, the eye was as if gazing at him as well leaving Chad to have no choice but to immediately retract his gaze. Because he could feel that if he didn't do so, his consciousness might corrode and would turn into blood.

Chad could only bring his consciousness into this world. And he could tell that no one even Jim or Laude had noticed him yet. But that eye was as if alive and could see him! His instinct was telling him that that eye was just letting him entered freely into this world. Because if it was other people other than him, that eye would treat them as intruders and might turn those intruders into blood as what he felt.

That was really something horrible! It was just fortunate for him that he wasn't considered an intruder but a spectator.

Chad could see Jim and his tamed beasts fighting his grandfather. But he knew as well that he was the only one who owned Pulang Mata that could see them. For they were already not in the real world, but in the parallel world of illusion world.

Other than him who belonged to the Mausig Family and had a Pulang Mata, only those who excelled in the ways of illusion could possibly see the grandfather and grandson fighting each other.

Chad was only saddened by the fact that he was the only one who was fortunate enough to see such an astonishing sight. Because what he was seeing right now could only make anyone swallow their own saliva to prevent them from uttering their astonishment.

A 10 years old kid could actually display such strength? Who would believe it if anyone didn't see it with their own eyes?

Right now, Jim's swarm of bees were trying to swarm Laude only to be cut down into pieces. But who would have thought that those bees would actually resurrect themselves after falling on the ground that was now a lake of blood. Not only that, those bees had actually multiplied! Chad reckoned that it was three to five times the amount compared to before.

Those bees then frenziedly rushed towards Laude. Not only that, two hands had actually popped out from below Laude and grabbed his feet.

But Laude wasn't shaken. With the wave of his hand, all the movements of the bees around were halted. Even if they frenziedly flapped their wings, they just couldn't move an inch.

Chad was more than sure that this was Laude's ability to control space. Chad was flabbergasted. But it was not because of Laude's ability itself, but because it was just inconceivable for him to see that Laude would actually use his ability against his grandson. It appeared that Laude wasn't treating this fight as only a joke!

Chad then sighed while shaking his head twice slowly. Jim really had grown stronger! It appeared that it was only a matter of time before Jim could completely surpass him. Not only that, the time might come that he was only allowed to look at his nephew's back, incapable of even dreaming to go near with him.

It really was irony that the someone treated by everyone as a trash would become so strong in a matter of days. Just how strong Jim would be in the next few weeks or months?

Chad turned his gaze to Jim and found him smiling. It seemed like even after Jim's swarm of bees were all stopped by Laude, Jim had still a way to counter it.

And just like that, just like what Chad had guessed, Jim countered the skill of Laude. The bees started to move again as Chad saw Laude incapable of doing anything at all, and was swarmed by the countless bees.

What happened? Chad was confused at first before realization dawned upon him. Did Jim just use the ability of Charley to turn reality into illusion? Chad thought that it was only the case! It appeared that the more he learned about Jim, the more frightened he become to Jim.

But despite that, even after being swarmed by the countless bees, Chad could still see Laude grinning. From the looks of it, Chad would use more of his power. He really was anticipating what would happen next.

What would Laude do this time? And how Jim would react? Would Jim surprise him again and showed something even more shocking? Or would Jim finally be beaten up by Laude? No matter what was it, Chad would learn about it sooner or later.
