Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Orochimaru’s Sharingan Experience



The Mangekyō Sharingan-the name itself suggests it holds a special significance. That's because each person's Mangekyō comes with its own unique abilities!

Uchiha Akira's eyes were no exception, each harboring a different power.

The left eye's technique was called Extraction.

The power of this technique was simple: it randomly extracts a particular ability from the target. This could include ninjutsu, taijutsu, genjutsu, secret techniques, and even Kekkei Genkai.

Unlike Extraction, which copied the ability without affecting the original user, Bestow transferred the ability. For instance, if Akira granted someone Lightning Blade, he would lose the ability to use it until he took it back.

Another key difference was that Bestow was stable. While Extraction was random, Bestow allowed Akira to choose exactly what he wanted to give.

This consistency was something Akira found incredibly valuable.

For example, when Hinata was in danger earlier and both Akira and Tanshin Hime were blocked, what if Akira had been able to grant her the Eight Gates?

She wouldn't even need to open the Eighth Gate-just the Seventh Gate would have been enough for her to hold her ground, maybe even defeat Kisame.

Or what if he'd given her Shisui's Body Flicker Technique? She could've escaped without any trouble.

So, Bestow was incredibly useful, especially in critical moments.

"My apologies, I misspoke," Orochimaru quickly said, realizing that Akira valued Hinata's well-being more than the Mangekyō sharingan.

Perhaps every Uchiha who unlocked the Mangekyō felt like it came at too high a price.

To trade the life of someone precious for power... who would willingly make that choice?

And if someone did choose power over a loved one, that would prove the person wasn't truly important to them. And without that emotional loss, they wouldn't awaken the Mangekyō in

the first place.

"So, how's Lady Hinata doing?" Orochimaru asked, trying to shift the conversation.

"Good news: thanks to Tsunade's healing, her life isn't in danger," Akira answered. "Bad

news: she's still in a coma, and we have no idea when she'll wake up."

"And that's why I'm here."

"Overdrawing both her physical and mental energy, huh? That's not an easy fix," Orochimaru

muttered, looking genuinely troubled.

But Akira's eyes lit up. Orochimaru had said it was difficult, but he hadn't said it was

impossible. Which meant there was a chance.

What do people usually mean when they say something is "difficult" in negotiations? It's often just a way to ask for a higher price, right?

Although Akira knew Orochimaru had some respect for him, the man was still very pragmatic.

And when dealing with someone as practical as Orochimaru, there was no point in appealing to emotions. It was better to give him something tangible.

"You've always been interested in the power of the Sharingan, haven't you?" Akira asked after

a moment of thought.

"Oh? Are you offering me the power of the Sharingan?" Orochimaru's eyes lit up with

excitement.

But then he shook his head. "No, no. I'm only interested in Sharingan with real potential. Ordinary three-tomoe Sharingan aren't enough. I want a Mangekyō, or at least one with the potential to evolve into it."

He had a point. For a seasoned Kage-level shinobi like Orochimaru, an ordinary Sharingan wasn't all that impressive.

But a Mangekyō? Now that was something worth getting excited about. "And what about my Sharingan?" Akira asked, cutting Orochimaru off mid-sentence.

Orochimaru stared at him, stunned. Was Akira really offering him the power of his Mangekyō

Sharingan?

No way. That couldn't be real, right?

Akira didn't bother explaining. Words were meaningless here—what mattered was letting

Orochimaru experience it firsthand.

Activating the Bestow ability in his right eye, Akira temporarily granted Orochimaru the

power of the Sharingan.

Akira's own eyes remained golden, showing no visible change.

But Orochimaru immediately felt the shift. His eyes narrowed, and when he focused, the

crimson glow of the Sharingan flickered into existence!
