Chapter 317: The Third Physique Transformation, Wind, Thunder, Earth, Fire, Wisdom King of Hell (II)

The next day, Chen Chu emerged from his room with his aura restrained. Under the concealment of the Hidden Divinity rune, he looked no different from the day before.

When he followed Yan Ruoyi to the dining room, however, Li Daoyi spat some milk out in surprise, looking as if he had seen a ghost.

"Damn, Brother Chu, y-you’ve broken through again!!"

Yan Ruoyi stopped in her tracks, and Bai Yunfeng, standing nearby, also looked over in surprise.

"...How did you figure that out?" Chen Chu asked, a bit surprised.

"As an Innate Awakener, I have my own methods." To Li Daoyi, the approaching Chen Chu didn’t look like a person, but a fierce colossal dragon.

Previously, he had resembled a domineering Dragon Elephant. Compared to that, the aura Chen Chu exuded now was even more terrifying.

Chen Chu said calmly, "After sparring with Brother Qingqiu a few days ago, I studied the summoning art and the secret scriptures. I made some minor progress last night."

Li Daoyi rolled his eyes. "Brother Chu, stop being so modest."

With his innate eye, Li Daoyi could see the qi of the world, from the mountains and rivers up to a person’s aura. So, many hidden details were revealed to him. While he couldn’t distinguish friend from foe just by looking like Chen Chu, his ability was still very strong.

This was another reason he had been chosen for this mission, not just for his destructive power.

The enemy this time was two king-level beings, and they could have some secret technique to avoid Chen Chu’s Insightful Eye perception. In such a scenario, Li Daoyi’s innate eye would serve as a second invisible barrier, forming a double defensive line to ensure nothing went wrong.

So, while he spent his days wandering around and befriending various beauties, he was indeed fulfilling his responsibilities.

Li Daoyi sighed. "Brother Chu, I feel like you’re the real Innate Awakener here. Your progress is insane. Even at the Sixth Heavenly Realm, your improvement is still so exaggerated."

Chen Chu glanced at him. "Though I’m making progress, you don’t seem to be standing still either."

"Hehe, of course, I’m an Innate Awakener after all," Li Daoyi said proudly.

After using two top-level resources consecutively, his cultivation had advanced from the middle-stage of the Fifth Heavenly Realm to the middle-stage of the Sixth in one leap, leaving some residual energy in his body.

With cultivation and absorption during this mission, coupled with his extraordinary talent, he was also making significant strides. He estimated he could break through to the late stage of the Sixth Heavenly Realm within two months.

By then, I should be able to put some distance between myself and this monster, right? Li Daoyi thought uncertainly.

Li Daoyi had always been confident in his cultivation talent. If not for his focus on refining his Innate Thunderbolts over the years, he would have broken through to the Seventh Heavenly Realm long ago.

When facing Chen Chu, however, Li Daoyi became a bit insecure. He felt that this guy was even more monstrous than he was.

"Alright, you two, stop praising each other and eat breakfast. We all know you're both geniuses," Yan Ruoyi said, breaking into a laugh.

Bai Yunfeng chimed in. "You two are indeed exceptional. Too bad I don’t have a daughter, or I’d introduce her to Mr. Chu."

"Uh... Director Bai, why not introduce her to me?" Li Daoyi asked, feeling a bit indignant.

Bai Yunfeng chuckled. "Because Mr. Chu clearly has a strong sense of responsibility. As for you, Mr. Li, perhaps you should delete all of those female friends from your phone before we discuss this?"

"Well... you’re right. Brother Chu is definitely better than me in that regard. Haha, Director Bai, you have a good eye." Li Daoyi laughed it off. Delete the dozens of the beautiful friends on his phone? That was out of the question; it was his hobby.

Amid their joking, they finished breakfast. Yan Ruoyi and the others then got busy preparing for the concert that evening.

By dusk, a convoy of cars arrived at the back entrance of the stadium. More than a dozen bodyguards in suits got out, their sharp eyes scanning the surroundings.

As the middle car's door opened, Chen Chu, also in a black suit and wearing sunglasses, was the first to step out. His expression was stern, and his aura was imposing.

Next came Yan Ruoyi and Qingqiu Mingyue, who was wearing a white princess dress.

The fox-eared girl looked excited, holding Yan Ruoyi's arm as her eyes sparkled. "Sister Ruoyi, is this what being a superstar feels like? It’s so grand!"

Though she was a descendant of a king, she usually stayed in her exclusive area and rarely went out. Of course, with her family’s influence, they could create an even bigger spectacle if they wished.

A group of news media reporters rushed over from a corner, shouting.

"Ms. Ruoyi, can we interview you?"

"Ms. Ruoyi, can you say a few words?"

The reporters were quickly blocked by a wall of four bodyguards. Cameras clicked rapidly as they snapped photos.

Yan Ruoyi smiled. "Thank you all for your attention. I need to prepare for the concert now. I’ll do interviews after the show."

Waving, she turned and walked toward the back door.

However, a couple of reporters, driven by excitement, ducked under the outstretched arms of the bodyguards and managed to slip through.

Boom!

Instantly, a terrifying pressure exploded from Chen Chu, causing the ground to tremble slightly under the heavy aura. The surrounding air visibly rippled, forming a whirlwind. Most notably, an invisible yet oppressive draconic power spread out, making everyone’s faces pale with fear.

The two reporters who had slipped through fell to their knees, trembling in terror as they looked at Chen Chu’s expressionless face.

After giving the stunned reporters a cold glance, Chen Chu finally retracted his aura. He then turned to the bodyguards who had tried to block the reporters, his voice cold. "As cultivators, you couldn't even stop a few ordinary people? Where's your security awareness?"

One of the young men bowed his head in fear. "I-I'm sorry, Mr. Chu. We didn't expect them to rush us."

Chen Chu, however, was unrelenting, his gaze icy. "I don't expect you to stop those higher-level threats, but if you can't even manage ordinary people, what's the point of having you here?"

At that moment, Li Long stepped forward in shame. "I'm sorry, Mr. Chu. Their vigilance has indeed dropped because of your presence. I will strictly supervise them from now on and ensure today's incident doesn't happen again."

"I hope so, or I'll suggest Ms. Yan replace this security team," Chen Chu said coldly, turning away.

As Chen Chu's figure disappeared through the back door, one of the reporters swallowed hard. "W-Was that bodyguard?"

"He’s still here."

"Strange, I didn't notice him at all until just now."

"Hey, can you help me up?"

"What's wrong with you?"

"I think I wet myself."

"Oh, come on! You peed your pants? That's embarrassing."

"Shut up! That bodyguard was terrifying. Weren't you scared? I think I saw your pants were wet too."

"Cough, cough! You must be mistaken. Here, let me help you up."

Just after Chen Chu entered the back entrance of the stadium, Li Daoyi spoke with regret. "Why didn't I notice such a perfect opportunity to show off?"

"...I wasn't trying to show off," Chen Chu said, exasperated.

Li Daoyi grinned. "Not much difference. Those reporters will spread the word about what just happened anyway. It’s going to be a hot topic."

Meanwhile, at the front entrance of the stadium, ticket checking had begun. On either side of the entrance stood two Three-Eyed Blood Foxes and a black fox with three pairs of white eyes, quietly observing the audience passing through security.
