Mythical Era: I Evolved Into A Stellar-Level Beast

Chapter 588: 274: Quasi-Mythical Descent, Past and Present

Chapter 588: Chapter 274: Quasi-Mythical Descent, Past and Present

10,000 meters below the deep sea was pitch-black, where the pressure was extremely terrifying, reaching a ton per square centimeter.

But in such a high-pressure deep sea, there existed a one-kilometer diameter waterless zone.

There, a several hundred meters high red whirlpool slowly rotated, emitting strong spatial fluctuations, with an invisible realm of thought forming a powerful energy field around it.

Under the force connecting two worlds, the sea water roared fiercely, forming a vast vortex covering tens of kilometers, piercing through the sky and the earth, swirling endless sea water.

Boom!

On one side of the vortex, the sea water exploded, and a two-hundred-meter-long Black Python covered in black scales and exuding Mid Level 9 power surged out.

Surrounding the ferocious python, bands of black power roamed, crumbling the rocks below as it slowly approached the world passageways.

In front of the rotating red whirlpool stood an enormous piece of black scale armor, over ten meters tall and several meters thick, from an unknown creature.

The mere presence of the scale, planted in the rock, emitted such a terrifying aura that the Dark Python felt awe, submission, and instinctively lowered its ferocious head.

At that moment, a powerful spiritual will burst from the Dark Python and struck the scale.

“Roar! My king, the Mustache Mackerel you had me watch is dead.”

Boom! Instantly, the black scale vibrated; as a medium, a terrifying power pierced through the world passageways and descended.

Accompanying that superior power spreading across the heavens, the high altitude distorted, like a mirage of the sea market projecting an image from another place.

There, the Earth cracked, with hot magma burning between the cracks, resembling a tumbling sea of magma fire as if from Hell, and a huge, ferocious head emerged.

Atop the dragon-like Black Colossus’s head, three pairs of spiral horns pierced obliquely into the Firmament, with purple-red flames burning on them, distorting the Void with terrifying power.

The ferocious behemoth slightly lowered its head, its gaze penetrating the Void and falling on the Dark Python, as an overbearing and majestic will vibrated the Void, letting out a resonant roar.

“Dead! The Mustache Mackerel was not weak, and there was also that Blue Flood Dragon. Did they provoke the humans on land?”

The Dark Python respectfully growled, “King, it was not the humans on land, but a few other Extraordinary Giant Beasts.”

“A subordinate of the escapees that I interrogated said it seems that the Mustache Mackerel bore a grudge against that group of Extraordinary Giant Beasts, having chased and killed one of their members.”

“Upon learning of the Mustache Mackerel’s death, I dispatched a particularly reared subordinate, adept in speed underwater, to gather information.”

“According to my subordinate’s findings, this is a new Transcendent Giant Beast power that has been expanding its territory aggressively towards the east.”

“This nascent power’s creatures are extremely fierce, slaughtering every beast in sight, and each time they conquer new territory, they stage a bloody celebration.”

“Judging by their current rate of advance, I’m concerned that it won’t be long before this group of vicious creatures invades the territory around the passageway, affecting your arrangements, my king.”

Unlike those ‘wild’ beasts, this Dark Python’s language and information conveyance were very precise, resembling a ‘cultured’ intellectual.

Moreover, it didn’t possess the unbridled brutality common to other giant beasts but was calm, or rather, had the characteristic coldness of serpents.

After delivering its report, the Dark Python respectfully lowered its head and waited for the command of the fearsome giant beast.

Within the seething magma, the will of a mythical-level terrifying beast pierced through the Void, turning into a deep roar that echoed across the seabed.

“These Transcendent creatures managed to kill the Mustache Mackerel with quasi-mythical potential and that Blue Flood Dragon; their strength is commendable and worthy of becoming my subordinates.”

“Roar! Troy, take my ‘strength’ and go to subdue them. If these Transcendent creatures are unwilling to submit, then kill them all.”

After issuing the command, that will spanning worlds departed, and the high sky projection of the mirage slowly disappeared.

However, the Dark Python did not leave but quietly waited in front of the pathway.

Almost half an hour later, the rotating red vortex shook violently, and the aura of a quasi-mythical beast seeped through from the other side.

The weather in June had already become hot, and the street was filled with beauties wearing cool clothing, some of which were quite impressive.

But Jack Clark was not Damon Lopes. Generally, when encountering beautiful girls, he would just glance and move on without approaching to add them as friends or send red envelopes.

Old town.

Walking under the lush tree shade on the Pedestrian Walkway, Freya Louise displayed a sense of nostalgia and said softly, “I loved this street when I was a child, because it had many delicious and fun things.”

“Back when my aunt was still in high school, she would bring me here every vacation.”

Jack Clark was curious, “What made you go to Simon later on, was it because your father worked there?”

“Mhm.”

Freya nodded and then her eyes lit up as she caught sight of an old snack shop on the corner of the street, somewhat surprised, “That store is still there.”

“Jack, let’s go take a look,” said the girl cheerfully, trotting over happily.

Ten minutes later, the two emerged from the store carrying a bunch of snacks, the girl’s face bright with a smile, snacking and speaking with her mouth full, “How about it, lots of good stuff inside, right?”

Jack chuckled and nodded, “Indeed, it’s quite good.”

The store they had just visited specialized in old-fashioned snacks.

Of course, ‘old-fashioned’ referred to ten or twenty years ago, not several decades or centuries, as the owner wouldn’t have been able to source those even if he wanted.
