My Last Hunt

Chapter 268: Silver Class 9

Chapter 268: Silver Class 9

Silver Class 9

What is happening here?

When they were near a small cave; someone brushed past in hurry. Kala staggered with this sudden plight. The hunter did not stop instead ran away without slowing down. Qiao supported Kala curiosity welled up in their minds but going away from the cave means that they would lose the way back in the pitch dark night. Before they could get the curiosity shook away another hunter brushed past them waving the weapon in the air. He was spouting nonsense and following behind. When Kala thought that he should mind his own business; the second hunter returned with the previous pace.

"You are looking eagerly tell me which direction the first hunter ran?" He asked Kala because Qiao was focusing on the cave and its appearance, possible ways how to make it look secure from others. "I don't know." Kala straight away refused thinking that perhaps there was a grudge between them. "I saw you looking somewhere tell me honestly else I will add another person in the list of fools." The hunter threatened him. Qiao twitched hearing them. Kala was reluctant to tell the direction, "I don't think you deserve my honesty. My honesty is only for those who deserve it." He shook his shoulders refusing to speak anything else.

Qiao stepped forward looking what was going on. "What? In few weapon attacks I can settle your honesty along with you and you talk about bullshit." The hunter fumed hearing new type of nonsense. "Wait on. If he is not ready to speak it then no one can force him." Qiao stepped ahead. He directly glared in the eyes of the hunter. The hunter saw two of them on the same lines; he stepped back and casted a glance on their fleeces, the identity badge was nowhere hanging on the chest. The hunter left in the supposed direction searching randomly.

Before Qiao and Kala mind their own business soon another hunter came running, "Did any of you saw a hunter chasing someone?" A hunter of level six asked in hoarse voice. He was huffing with the utmost running. Qiao looked at Kala and he did the same. They were forced to think what was going on and why they were chasing nonstop. "The second hunter is chasing a member of my team and I wanted to secure my team member." The third hunter almost pleaded. He was looking in hurry and did not want to lose direction.

Kala lifted his hand and gestured toward a direction. He perhaps got the excuse of the hunter and let him know which direction was the right one. It was almost evening. The island got slightly lit instead of sinking in darkness. The huge and thick trees were accumulating snow on top of their heads as soon as the dim light of the day got dead; the fair snow started reflecting the indistinct source of light which was blurred in the day light. Sometimes the accumulating snow would fling with the blunt movements of some monsters. The monsters wander in the night as usual sometimes rolling on the cold ground.

It was their way of rejoicing the cold night especially when they were going through the level up stage. Their stone armors at this stage get immensely heated and their bodies cannot bear the scalding warmth. Qiao turned to see this phenomenon. "What? To think we were worried about a safe place for dark night?" Qiao laughed witnessing this. He was yet to celebrate it when fourth hunter rushed past them. He was looking in hurry and did not stop to ask them anything. Right after few moments; he returned and looked at both hunters.

"Did you both see some hunters chasing each other?" now this was enough sweeping their curiosity. "Don't tell me you are going to help them too?" Kala asked worrying. "No; they are from two different teams, I am going to tell them that their chase is groundless the monster has already leveled up and now it is dangerous for hunt. They are greedy for the special stone however none of them know that they would end up dead." The hunter voiced in hurry. Streaks of concern could be seen on his face.

This time Qiao gestured toward the direction. He has a reason to not believe any of their excuse however he did not want them to stop here. Qiao lazily walked and reached the top of the cave. He sat observing the island and thinking how he should plan his next moves. Kala was from a different continent where all year long his people only witness desert. Seeing the ground and the beauty in his surrounding was enough to cheer up his dull mood. If this place was so much welcoming then there was no hindrance for him in getting experience points in minimum time. In fact he could hunt during night.

Though hunting in the night was risky however a tough team can try. The trunks of the trees were long leaving space for the monsters and hunters. The cave was not big enough or giant; it was barely eight feet, an angry monster might stumble around it and change the direction slightly. The monster cannot smash it into smithereens because it was strong fort of rocks. Qiao was yet to speak about his plans when a huntress appeared. She was also in hurry.

She stooped for moment and spotted them. "If consider can you tell me there the few hunters rushed toward this direction?" she pointed the direction and asked. This was too much for both. Exactly what was happening in that direction? The question popped up in their heads. Hunters were going same direction but giving different excuses. Kala gestured to ask permission from Qiao and he nodded. He was planning her the reason why she was in rush and what was there in that direction? "What's special there?" Kala asked very attentive not wanting to miss a word coming from her mouth.
