My Last Hunt

Chapter 128: Level Four (28)

Chapter 128: Level Four (28)

Level Four (28)

Guarding at the third part of encampment:

The one who was given the punishment was the leader of a level four team and after he was sent back in the Middletown, his team members let the organizers know that they were willing to join any team, whichever had a spot for recruitment.

When Qiao told that he was also given a punishment, the team leader could not believe it. "How can they punish when you told that you were ignorant and also the other chaser was found guilty?" Shiguan was not happy to hear this.

"I told him but he still gave me this punishment and in the evening I have to join the senior team." Qiao showed the handwritten paper and Shiguan fell in a dilemma. Where he would find the fifth team member. Later this problem got solved soon though.

Qiao moved out and then walked around to ask where was the third part of the encampment. The encampment was surrounded with the rock walls. Some of the chasers nearby gave him a rough direction and he walked past many tents. He could then finally see those giant chasers who he met in the forest.

They had built bigger tents to rest and Qiao could no more find the signs of the rock wall. He stopped to ask someone. "Senior, do you have some idea about where is the third part of the watchtowers." He stood in front of the nine feet human who looked like a meat mountain.

Perhaps the man could not hear him clearly, as he brought his hands near him and raised him up. "What did you say?"

When he spoke, his breath reached Qiao and he felt like he wanted to puke. It was probably the leftover raw meat still in his mouth. The big skewers were again put on fire and ready to be consumed and it seemed this one perhaps could not control his hunger.

"Do you know where is the third part of the watchtowers?" Qiao spoke with all his strength this time and the man nodded. He slightly moved a small part of the tent and there Qiao could see some rock stairs ascending towards the watchtower.

So, this meant the huge tent was blocking the view. He slightly bowed and thanked the man and moved to reach the stairs by walking around the tent. Though these giant humans look horrible but they were not always frightening.

Qiao walked up the stairs and a team was already there standing with their weapons. The team leader was looking towards the open dark forest with complete concentration. While his men were walking around on the watchtower.

It was his first time he met a senior team who had a tough responsibility on their shoulders. All the team members were level five while the leader was at level five peak.

There was often information that was not told around. The chasers and hunters were not told about few things. This encampment was not built out of the blue but instead a huge amount of wealth was invested in it.

Those stronger teams were not just doing a small thing of watching over at night but they also hunt at night during this guarding time. There were many monsters who wander in the night and hit against the rock walls of the encampment. These teams hunt them with their very best.

As for as the concerned, the hunters sleeping inside the encampment did not have a clue to what was going outside the encampment. Every watchtower senior team was given a stone of Twang Tremor taken from the level seven monster. The team leaders when they see a monster coming to hit the wall of rock, he would appoint one of the chasers to keep this stone active while the team would jump at the other side to hunt the monster.

This way the resonance of the strong monsters didn't disturb the rest time of the low-level hunters. While level five hunters had strong hearing, which has been tempered with their level five strength and they were able to control it.

"Team leader, this chaser is sent by the senior organizer." One of the team members spotted Qiao at first and was told why he was here. He then voiced out to get the attention of the team leader.

Team leader scratched his head and diverted his eyes toward Qiao, "Man, I asked him to send a level five. That old man has surely gone mad to send you." He made his expressions as if he was displeased and spoke to Qiao.

Qiao simply extended his hand to show him the paper, the team leader picked it and observed in the lamp light.

"Ah, this I can't believe, you are going to stay with us for five days and then I will have to send you towards the wooden bridge where the Silver Class is guarding." He read through and wanted to pull his hair.

But instead, he started to circle around Qiao,

"Did you seriously offend someone or the senior is playing with my patience?" He wanted to spout something else instead of the word 'patience' but he controlled.

"I am not sure but I won't disappoint you." He don't know the reason behind the frustrated expressions of the team leader but it was clear that he guarding at the watchtowers was not as simple as the low level chasers think it to be.

"Disappoint? Only those get disappoint who bear some hope and I have no hope for such a low-level chaser to help me out at the third watchtower. Can you keep the Twang Tremor stone active in case we need your help?" The team leader spoke in frustration, leaving Qiao surprised.

What kind of stone was it? Why was the leader worried to keep it active? Finally, he felt he was going to be able to learn something new about hunting from here on.

'Goodness, that senior organizer has strictly only send him for five days else this team leader might have threw him back' He thought in his head.
