My Goalkeeping System

Chapter 495 Second Deal

Chapter 495  Second Deal

The trip to Wiesbaden, Germany was a fun one for both Dave and Clark but there wasn't really much for them to do once they got over there.

Well, that was what it seemed like at first.

The process of signing the deal was smooth and didn't even take up to ten minutes. That was something that could have been easily done online but they needed to get pictures of the moment with the goalkeeper because that would go a long way in helping promote their business.

They also had to take pictures of him with some of the company's executives in front of their logo and then they also had to take pictures of him in some of the newly made designs that they wanted to promote, the ones that he agreed to put on at least because there were certain clothes in that pile that he was never going to put on no matter what especially when they were going to be taking pictures of him in them.

While they were moving him around inside the large warehouse filled with clothes, Clark was just tagging along with a bag of peanuts in his hands.

A lot of pictures were taken that day but that wasn't all they also had to shoot some videos to make nice edits.

What the goalkeeper thought was going to be short and swift ended up turning his day into a very long day.

The idea behind signing an endorsement deal with the goalkeeper was to increase the number of their customers from Bilbeth, they had never thought of partnering with any player that was from Bilbeth or played in the Bilbeth Premier League until now.

This was a lifetime contract that guaranteed him seven million euros every year, there was a chance that it could improve in the future but that depended solely on how the company improved from this day onward.

Another good thing about endorsement deals was the amount of free stuff athletes and celebrities could get with them and this case was no exception.

The goalkeeper received a lot of exotic clothes, shoes, and even underwear from them. They were quite generous according to Dave who thought that the clothes were a little too much to the extent that he had to purchase a traveling box to be able to fit them all in.

The number of clothes they gave him would be able to change the average person's wardrobe, this was no exaggeration.

With the sun slowly starting to set now, the two had to catch up with their flight which was due in a couple of minutes.

Their reservation was in the first class because staying in the other classes was sure going to draw a lot of attention to him with so many people going to Bilbeth in the plane and compared to the other classes, the first class had a calm and relaxing atmosphere with soothing music playing in the background.

"I really should get a private jet." The goalkeeper said just after sitting down in the seat reserved for him.

"It's funny how I was just about to say that," Clark remarked before sitting down beside him. "But anyway, it's finally done."

"Yeah, that took way longer than I anticipated," Dave replied with an exhausted voice before slowly leaning back in his seat. "Footy wears didn't take this long if you take out everything that happened with the rain."

"Well, Stoff Mit Stool is a slightly bigger company than Footy wears, that's also why you got that number of clothes."

"Yeah, it makes sense looking at that and how much I'm making from them." He replied with his gaze now on the ceiling.

"This is your second endorsement deal and more will come after moving to a different club and the further you go in your career, the bigger companies will notice you and request endorsement deals with you." Clark articulated.

"Yeah, go further in my career." The goalkeeper muttered before slowly returning to his normal sitting position. "I wonder how the training session today went without me."

"There's no reason to wonder, it definitely went well, you'll be joining them tomorrow anyway, and me…"

That sudden pause was enough to pique Dave's interest and he had his gaze on him now, his eyes beaming with inquisitiveness.

"And you?"

"Well, I'm just going to hang around Supreme for a couple of days before heading back to Frono." He disclosed.

"Of course, you're planning to hang around Supreme."

"Yeah, it's not like I have much to do in Unique unless you need me for something."

"I know, I wasn't complaining, you have to stay there since Emilia can't move because of her work but.." Dave interjected.

"But what?"

"Just do me a favor and say you're coming to Supreme and will come around Unique to check up on me whenever you intend to come back from Frono next." He replied.

"Well, if you put it that way, that does sort of fit the context more," Clark muttered with his right hand now on his chin.

______ ______

With Most of Dave's day spent taking pictures, trying out clothes, and whatnot, Tuesday came by pretty quickly for him because he went upstairs and passed out just a few minutes after getting home.

It was a new day for them to get back to training for their match against Lyon on Thursday.

Norman scheduled a training session by 11:00 AM that day and all the players had to be there before that time because he was not taking lateness lightly that week.

Roland arrived just seven minutes late yesterday and he made the left back pay a fine for it.

He fined him four hundred euros despite informing them earlier that he would fine them a hundred euros for every minute of lateness so he was just being generous there because the wingback was the only one that arrived late that day.

There was no way that this was going to be a problem for Dave because since he got the system, getting up way too early had just become a part of him even without having dream control activated.

He got to the stadium forty minutes before the time for the training session and made his way straight to the pitch after branching into the locker room to change into his training outfit.

He made his way out of the tunnel to see that three of his teammates were already on the pitch but he was aware of that from what he saw in the locker room.

Ferran, Mateo, and Roland were the players on the pitch now and they seemed to be talking about something.

"Hey, guys!" Dave called out as he quickly made his way to them.

That was enough to get their attention and they all had their gaze on him now.

"What are you guys talking about?" He asked before proceeding to shake all of them.

"Oh, we were talking about something disturbing that happened last night," Ferran replied casually.

"Something casual?" Dave uttered before turning his gaze to him with a confused expression on his face.

"Yeah, do you remember who our next opponent in the Europa Conference League is?"

"Yeah." The goalkeeper replied with a nod. "Lyon."

"Okay, and do you know how many points PSG is topping the table with in Ligue One?"

"I think it was eight the last time I checked, they were eight points ahead of Marseille. Why are you asking me these questions?"

"Well, I'm asking because fifth-placed Lyon trashed league leaders PSG five goals to nothing in their last game, PSG were on a winning streak." The midfielder dropped the bombshell and it did its work because Dave had a stunned look on his face now.

"We're their next opponents." He gasped.
