The air between Lin Fu and the Ancient Terror crackled in tension, and with a raise of his eight-foot-long spear, he had fully prepared himself for what might happen…

"Same here. This life was a good one."

"I, too, have no regrets…"

"Don't you think we are too old to be worrying about things like death, Lin Fu? Haha!"

"It's best to die on the battlefield anyway, better than croaking in some random cave… Ha…"

After listening to the responses given by friends he had known for tens of thousands of immortal years, Lin Fu couldn't stop himself from cracking a small smile. One that displayed all the complex emotions he had been bottling up for as long as he could remember.

All at once, the ancestors lunged from their positions, heading straight for the looming cloud of death!

During their lunge, they noticed something change within the large, expanding cloud of death as two... absolutely horrifying eyes opened up right in the middle of the mushroom cloud...

"If death as a group is what you wish for, then I will fulfill your wish in place of your forefathers…"

"Hmm…?"

Very far away from the Heavenbreaker Province, a cloaked man with long crimson-colored hair suddenly turned his head in a certain direction.

For some reason, he could've sworn that he heard a very loud explosion go off…

"Maybe it was just my imagination?"

While thinking over this matter with a curious gleam in his eyes, Azmodeus was quickly taken out of his thoughts by a man behind a booth, saying:

"Next!"

Silence.

"Next!!"

Silence.

"NEXT!!!"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, registering for the Knight Examination of the Omega Dome…"

Suddenly remembering why he was here, Azmodeus walked a bit ahead and signed his name and age on a piece of paper.

If looks could kill, then the booth receptionist would have certainly killed him a hundred times over by now. But ignoring the look he was receiving, Azmodeus finished filling out the paper and then walked off to the side, which was where the other participants were gathered.

Tap, Tap.

After finding a metal chair underneath a short umbrella, Azmodeus found his seat and escaped the searing heat beating down on him from above.

The day was hot, and global warming was at an all-time high…

'Hai… I didn't even need to lie about my age and cultivation on that paper. After all, being 19 immortal years of age with a cultivation in the Grade 9 Great Pinnacle Golden Immortal Realm is considered quite average in the Saberspire Province…'

Azmodeus had entered the Saberspire Province right after the appearance of that cloud of death. Then, within minutes, he found himself outside a sign-up building for the Knight Organization, Omega Dome. Which also just so happened to be located just before the main bridge that allowed one to enter the River Serpent Empire.

The Omega Dome sign-up stand was set up for the downtrodden part of society outside the River Serpent Empire. As long as one was capable and lucky enough, they could take part in the 'Knight Test' and become Apprentice Knights of the Omega Dome.

The minimum requirement to be a Knight Apprentice was to have a cultivation in the Great Pinnacle Golden Immortal Realm and be under 25 immortal years of age.

Being just under 20 Immortal years of age and at the peak of the Pinnacle Golden Immortal Realm, Azmodeus could be considered slightly above average.

'It's odd that all my previous years of life only amounted to less than 10 Immortal years, plus what time I already spent here, but whatever… This works out well in my favor.'

'A new start is always the optimal route to take. And it's even better when the organization I'm going to join doesn't even require the participant to disclose his actual identity…'

'Literally anybody could become a Knight Apprentice of the Omega Dome as long as they're capable enough…'

While cryptically brooding over a few different subjects, the line for participants had already shortened to a point where no one was left standing. At this point in time, an elegantly dressed man in a blue suit walked onto the scene with a sophisticated way of carrying himself.

This man was the Knight Examiner that would be taking all of the applicants to the place where the test would be held.

As for his cultivation base…

'The first expert I encounter outside of the Heavenbreaker Province, and he's already in the Celestial Immortal Realm… Although I don't know what Grade he is, I'm sure that it's something greater than the Leader of the Tiger Atomic Immortal Hunter Party…'

Taking Azmodeus out of his thoughts, the Knight Examiner walked up to all the people sitting underneath the umbrella chairs. The first thing he did was scan their cultivation bases with his divine sense, and to say the least, he was disappointed.

'Besides three noble children who came here solely for the purpose of increasing their reputation among their peers in River Serpent Knight Academy, everyone else is beyond lackluster… The highest is of the Grade 4 All-Encompassing Immortal Realm, and even then, that is barely enough to qualify for the basic training when they do eventually go to the Knight Academy…'

'There are a couple with a unique and somewhat special air about them, but what will that do when faced with the intense training regime that is about to come their way if they pass the entry test… Hai…'

Situated in a corner on the left side of the massive bridge that leads into the River Serpent Empire, a Grade 6 Celestial Immortal Examiner stood in front of a group of young adults. All were between the ages of 18 and 25, and all likely came here in hopes of turning their lives around.

The Omega Dome and dreams of becoming a genuine Omega Knight were their way out of the misfortune that was their past! This was their future!
