With Evil's Sovereignty, Lucifer was all but assured of its ability to grant anyone the option of taking up the Evil Path.

Wishing to waste none of the limited time he had, Lucifer picked up the floofer and put her on his shoulders. Letting the floofer lean up against both his head and the wall, he then got to opening up Evil's Sovereignty.

"Woof...?"

Clearly quite confused over the actions of the human, Whitey repeatedly tilted its head. Though it quickly got tired of thinking too much and simply went back to napping.

On the other hand, as Lucifer opened up the book, the words inscribed in the pages were enough to put him in a temporary state of enlightenment. Taking advantage of this rare and fortuitous state of being, he both comprehended the Evil Path and further progressed his other 3 cultivation paths.

Aiming to reach the Peak Diamond Stage for his Mind and Body Path as well as the Peak Golden Core Realm for his Qi Path, Lucifer actively circulated everything simultaneously.

In no time flat, he was already well on his way toward achieving his short term goal. But even before that could happen, the Evil Path was activated!

OOOM!

After reaching the Initial Copper Realm in half an instant, a dark black energy evenly gathered around his body and dispersed all at once.

"Umu! That is one breakthrough out of the way!"

Nodding his head in satisfaction, Lucifer promptly put his attention onto continuing his breakthroughs in both the Evil Path and other Paths. With his new passive Evil Energy gathering technique on full blast, this was made quite easy.

Considering that this forest Lucifer was in was filled to the brim with evil energy, he had all the energy supply he needed to progress his Evil Path further down the line.

Furthermore, there was a technique that he just created; it was capable of converting Evil Energy into the other Energy types using a form of hyper explosion and re-installation. It was hard to explain in layman's terms, but essentially, it made for the good, good when it came to maximizing efficiency.

Using this method of conversion, in less than 5 minutes, Lucifer successfully broke through in his Evil Cultivation 9 times, reaching the Late Bronze Rank!

And that wasn't even the end of it, as he had also gotten his other three Paths past the 50% marks!

With all of this in the equation, his body was beginning to look nothing short of a confused, in-bred Saiyan. But seeing as Lucifer didn't seem to mind that, he continued to increase the visibility and quality of all his dazzling bodily colors.

By the fifteen mark, he finally made his Body, Qi, and Mind Paths have breakthroughs!

From the Late Diamond Rank to the Peak Diamond Rank, both his Mind and Body Cultivation changed the color of his skin. Slowly but surely, Lucifer was beginning to look like a certain sparkly vampire from a vampire show.

However, for greater power, he was more than willing to look like a disco party ball costume gone wrong...

"Well, there's also my Golden Core... With my breakthrough into the Peak Golden Core Realm going off without a hitch, it has started to look more and more like a golden disco ball... Just me, perhaps?"

Swiftly putting that matter to the back of his mind, Lucifer focused on his Battle Power.

"Ai... Even after all that, I still can't break past the Middle Void Refinement Realm into the Unity Form Synthesis Realm...? Figures as much..."

Getting up off the wall with a mildly disappointed air about him, Lucifer made sure the floofer was locked in tight around his neck. After that was done, he vanished from his spot.

Luckily, he did so in just the nick of time as multiple horrifying monsters crashed through the walls of the shrine!

Over thirty meters in height, there were more than five of them, and they all looked like eerie mixtures between a bat and a dinosaur. However, the most terrifying part about them had to be how the immediately honed in on Lucifer's fleeting figure after the demolition of the Devilduke Shrine.

"Screeeeeech--!!!!"

Releasing the most dreadful howls Lucifer had heard so far, they dashed from their spots like rabid dogs chasing their prey. In no time at all, they were right on Lucifer's trail. Plowing through massive trees like they weren't even there, they relentlessly leaped off the ground and snapped their razor-sharp teeth filled mouths at the raven-haired man bouncing off the tree canopies.

"Damn, these things are freaky. And to make things worse, every single one of them is in the Late Void Refinement Realm."

Speaking to himself in exasperation, Lucifer just narrowly dodged a harrowing mouth over ten times his body height. Making use of this dangerous situation, he leapt onto its jagged snout and rocketed into the sky. Like a blazing firework, be progressively evaded the chomps of all the monstrous Nightmare Creatures.

Climbing up them like a flight of stairs, Lucifer ultimately found himself freefalling from hundreds of meters above the tallest tree canopy.

With just him and his Floofer, Whitey, he plummeted to the earth, seemingly about to fall into the giant parahana den.

However, before such a thing could happen, Whitey suddenly opened her eyes and flashed a bright golden light. Causing unknown yellow sigils to materialize above them, Lucifer was surprised to find out that brilliantly shimmering wings had grown from his back!

Gliding through the skies like an angel on the move, he sped up into the horizon, temporarily escaping the keen tracking sense of the Nightmare Bats.

"Wow, so I can fly this high now, huh?"

Lucifer was rather surprised by this revelation, and rightfully so. After all, in the Nightmare Realm, it was normally not possible to fly too far off the ground. But with the help of his mysterious floofer, the latitude didn't seem to be part of the equation anymore.

Looking up fondly at the sleepy Whitey, Lucifer couldn't help but confirm the theory that adopting (kidnapping) any and all floofers was always the right choice!

In spite of his silly thoughts, he wasn't too keen on just how long this angel transformation would last. Therefore, he worked the almost appendage-like wings to their utmost limits.

Blitzing through the twilight scenery like a fiery bird of golden flames, Lucifer started to encroach upon the territory of the truly terrifying Nightmare Monsters. Ranging from the Peak Void Refinement Realm to the Limit Unity Form Synthesis Realm and beyond, the dangers that lay ahead were made abundantly obvious...

Yet, this didn't deter Lucifer in the slightest; It only made him yearn for greater and greater loot, not planning to stop until he was the absolute pinnacle of existence...

In a matter of four hours, Lucifer managed to get himself to a level where he could confidently take on Nightmare Monsters in the Half-Step Unity Form Synthesis Realm.

With such an extreme amount of power, he was only barely able to contend with the weakest of the terrifying Nightmare Monsters in the depths of the forest that he still didn't know the name of...

"Now that I think about it, I'm still one of the weakest in this limited area... But considering how many major realms there are, I doubt this will be the last time I feel this way. Ai..."

Looking out the cracked windows of a ragged wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere, Lucifer kept his breath steady and undetectable. Making sure to have Whitey follow this example he set, they observed the spooky scenery outside the window.

In mere moments, a giant foot interrupted their thoughts. Suddenly stopping what was a forward trot, the ligaments of the leg bent down at an angle, then like the worst of nightmares, a full mouth of shark-like teeth showed up outside the cabin.

If Lucifer and Whitey didn't duck just in the nick of time, well, it was highly likely that they would be dead by now...

'To have an Early Unity Form Synthesis Realm Nightmare Monster on our scent... Ai, I do wonder what exactly we did to warrant such opps...'

Thinking to himself in a discreet manner, Lucifer waited for the hair-tingling monster face to raise back in the air. Lifting up that massive foot, another foot soon took its place, then another, and another... and another...

Hundreds of huge bigfoot-like feet planted themselves into the soft, fertile soil of the forest. Seemingly traveling in a herd, these Bigfoots hissed and screeched. While baring the fangs that were attached to a mouth which was a combination of a squid and a shark, the Nightmare Monsters quickly passed through the area.

They were searching for a couple meat bags, and they wouldn't stop until they found the dinner that got away...

'Welp, scratch what I said before. Instead of a single one of those things, there are hundreds of them... Normally, this would be seen as quite unfortunate, but considering that I have my own parade of loot bags following me around until I become stronger... Heh, I see this as nothing but a fortuitous encounter!'
