Chapter 1356: A Poisonous Arrow

The blazing halo descended from the skies and the entire world seemed as though it would be sundered into two. The ground below started to crack and break and there were even parts that looked as though it was liquefying from the heat. At this time, Jiang Qing'e could be said to have exerted her strength to the extreme. That single attack not only contained the power of all of the light resonant power refined by her triple ninth-grade Light resonances but also included her Archaic Runes and the Sacred Crown of Thorns' augmentation. Lastly, it was bolstered by her Ten-Pillar Duke Bergfried's Divine Mist!

Thus the lower Destiny grade Duke Art Radiant Divineflame Heavenly Ring had reached a terrifying level.

"This is a first-grade Duke?!" When Li Foluo and Li Tingyue saw this, they were absolutely dumbfounded. The energy undulations coming from Jiang Qing'e had clearly exceeded that of an upper fourth-grade Duke and was already at the threshold of a fifth-grade!

This was an entire stage difference! Such a huge jump in strength was simply incomprehensible to a normal Duke.

Meanwhile the corruption around him roiled and the black rain which began to fall with even greater intensity were all sucked into the longsword itself.

"Demon Snake's Swallowed Sword, Yellow Springs Sword Energy!"

As Shen Yunge exclaimed, the countless sword manifestations combined and transformed into a gigantic cave. This cave was filled with numerous holes and from each one, a pair of icy pupils belonging to a snake could be seen. A moment later, boundless amounts of grayish black sword energy gushed out.

This sword energy continued to condense, transforming into a Yellow Spring's River tens of thousands of feet long.

It gave off a chilly aura and anything that was sucked in would be quenched by the Yellow Spring's Sword Energy. The sword energy arced across the skies and directly collided against the eye catching sacred halo of light before everyone's eyes.

Bang!

At the moment which they collided, the entire world seemed to shake and a resounding boom rang out. Berserk energy undulations dispersed in every direction and caused even the torrential black rain to dissipate.

Countless nervous gazes were focused upon the scene of impact.

The Radiant Divineflame Heavenly Ring was incredibly tenacious as it had been refined by Jiang Qing'e's incredibly condensed light resonant power. Thus despite how domineering the Yellow Spring's Sword Energy was, it was incapable of extinguishing the sacred flames.

This sight was incredibly moving for many of the Dukes. Jiang Qing'e had actually managed to block Shen Yunge's incredibly frightening counter attack.

One had to know that Shen Yunge was displaying his trump card which was also a Destiny grade Duke Art.

Any normal Duke beneath his grade would be easily crushed in a normal situation. Meanwhile Jiang Qing'e had not only not been directly finished off, she had managed to block his attack.

This sight infuriated Shen Yunge to no end. He let out a long roar as the black rainstorm which was pouring down from the skies began to transform into long black snakes which were then absorbed into the Yellow Spring's Sword Energy yet again.

With the aid of the Stygian Rain of Calamity, Shen Yunge had gained a great boost to his powers.

This was because the corruption served to buff his abilities much like how Li Hongyou would assist Li Luo from time to time. With the assistance of the endlessly falling black rain, the Yellow Spring's Sword Energy grew in intensity and eventually, the sword energy managed to quench the sacred flames that surrounded the halo of light.

Thus the Radiant Divineflame Heavenly Ring began to dim at a quick pace.

This caused the hearts of those watching to fall. Shen Yunge simply held too many advantages and even though Jiang Qing'e had done her best, it was not enough. "Die for me!" Shen Yunge's hoarse cries filled the air.

The Yellow Spring's Sword Energy transformed into an evil black dragon that violently bashed outwards, smashing the halo into motes of light that began to dissipate.

The Yellow Spring's Sword Energy then smashed through the void, imbued with endless amounts of murderous intent as it rushed towards Jiang Qing'e.

"Jiang Qing'e! Hurry and hide!" Some within the crowd shouted out in warning.

However Jiang Qing'e did not take a single step back. With her heavy sword in hand, it began to flow with glorious amounts of light resonant power. Her golden eyes were focused squarely on the Yellow Spring's Sword Energy that was battering towards her but no fear could be seen within her.

Instead, the three divine halos behind her began to shine even more brilliantly as the Archaic Rune on her forehead began to burn with even greater intensity.

She had to help Li Luo stall for as much time as possible.

As she raised her sword, the three resonant palaces in her body began to emit tens of thousands of rays of light.

However, just as she was about to make her final stand, a soft voice transmitted into her ear. "Sister Qing'e, thank you."

Behind her, Li Luo's finger was stubbornly hooked onto the bowstring and a blood red arrow of light could be seen armed and ready to shoot.

Atop the arrow of light could be seen three small dragon manifestations that were intertwined, their dragon horns interlocked and forming the tip of the spear.

It was the Three Dragon's Kingslayer Arrow! The only thing was that this arrow gave off energy fluctuations that were far more terrifying than before. If one were to observe more closely, it was almost as though a blood red figure of a wolf could be seen nestled within. An extremely fiendish aura emanated from the wolf figure as it fused together with the Three Dragon's Kingslayer Arrow.

This was the Heavenly Wolf Bloodfiend Venom!

Thus it was more accurate to call this, the Three Dragon's Wolf Venom Kingslayer Arrow Li Luo's arms looked a little withered at this point in time, as though all of the blood had been drained out of it. Clearly the usage of the Great Sanguine Poison Art fused with the Heavenly Dragon blood essence and the Heavenly Wolf Bloodfiend Venom had taken quite the toll on his body.

How could he control such frightening power if he wasn't willing to pay the cost?

Killing intent surged from the depths of Li Luo's gaze as he focused upon Shen Yunge. He then released the arrow without hesitation.

The bowstring twanged with immense force, flaying the flesh on his finger. One had to know how robust his physical body was and thus this injury meant that the recoil was considerable. Tui!

The blood red arrow pierced through the skies.

Almost instantly, a billowing wave of air rushed past Jiang Qing'e's head, causing her long hair to drift in the air. It then collided against the Yellow Spring's Sword Energy directly.

Blood red light exploded outwards instantly.

The Yellow Spring's Sword Energy melted away with frightening speed like snow meeting lava.

This attack had already been weakened by Jiang Qing'e's previous strike and thus Li Luo's trump card was able to easily overcome the remnant energy left within. Bang!

The Yellow Spring's Sword Energy then collapsed with a resounding boom.

The blood red arrow then continued to zip across the skies with unimaginable speed, appearing right before Shen Yunge in the blink of an eye.

It was only then when Shen Yunge managed to react to the situation. He summoned up all of the resonant power within his body, attempting to retreat as he left afterimages in his wake.

However the blood red arrow was simply too swift as all the afterimages were pierced through.

Shua!

Shen Yunge wanted to employ some of his other means to defend himself but the blood red arrow was closely approaching. Finally a bang was heard!

The arrow had pierced through Shen Yunge's forehead.

The crowd in the surroundings gave excited cheers upon seeing this. It seems like Li Luo's final trump card, that single arrow, possessed incredible might. Shen Yunge should finally be done for now... right?
